We were the industry’s first national paper distributor to attain tri-certification for the leading forest-management programs. The three independent CoC certifications are:
- Forest Stewardship Council™(FSC®)
- Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI®)
- Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC)

Environmentally Responsible Paper
Forest products, including paper and print are a renewable resource. As such, the paper life cycle plays a critical role throughout the supply chain. Unisource develops partnerships with suppliers that integrate environmental criteria in the manufacture of their paper products. Predominant criteria include CoC certification, use of recycled content and utilizing renewable energy in the manufacturing process. We capture and maintain this environmental data for you in two convenient documents.

respect™ Printers’ Program
We understand that all partners required to produce a printed piece must share our environmental commitment – and no one along the supply chain can be left out. Our respect™ Printers’ Program connects designers and customers with printers that share this commitment. Each respect™ Printer is certified to at least one of the three leading CoC certifications, or is a member of the Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP).
When you become a respect™ Printer, your company’s name will appear in our unisourcegreenfinder® tool. When consumers search using this online paper-sourcing tool for environmentally responsible fine papers, they will easily locate you.
